New Steel: New galvanized roofs and mild steel

 

Preparation of surface:

  • Remove all oils  and residues from mild steel ,  using a dampped cloth whith white vinegar.

  • New galvanized roofs should be washed of first with a 10% pool acid and water mixture.

  • PH levels must be neutralize , by rinsing all surfaces to be  painted after clening with a mixture  of 180gr Bicarbonate of Soda and 5litre water.

  • Finaly rinse with just clean water and let dry

 

Note:

  • B-Earth Products must be stirred well before use.

  • Corrugated Iron: Area equals square meter X 1.2

  • Products can be applied by paintbrush , paint roller or spray gun

  • 10 % B-paint can be mixed in to B-bond to increase coverage / hiding ability of paint

 

Application:

  • Apply B-bond primer one (1) coat.

  • Grease / oils will show as B-bond would not adhere to surface. Scrub or sand B-bond into metal.

  • Apply B-paint of colour choice. Allow two (2) coats.

  • Membrane must be used where corrugated iron join wall. Apply B-bond, allow to dry. Apply B-paint, place membrane onto join, and apply two (2) coats of B-paint.

 

Cleaning:

  • Products are water based

  • Clean all equipment thoroughly with water immediately after use.

Old Steel: Rusted galvanized iron or mild steel

 

Preparation of surface:

  • Remove all loose and flaking rust and paint, by using a steel brush or power washer.

  • Do not use a rust remover due to chemical reaction with B-paint products which could cause flaking.

  • Membrane to be used where corrosion has worked away the supporting structure.

  • Neutralise unbalanced pH with 180gr Bicarbonate of Soda and 5litre water mixture. Wash surface with mixture.

  • Rinse with clean water and  let dry

 

 

Note:

  • B-Earth Products must be stirred well before use.

  • Corrugated Iron: Area equals square meter X 1.2

  • Products can be applied by paintbrush, paint roller or spray gun.

 

Application:

  • Treat with two (2) coats B-treat saturating the rusted areas thoroughly.

  • Allow to dry.

  • Apply B-paint of your choice. Allow for two (2) coats.

 

Cleaning:

  • Products are water based

  • Clean all equipment thoroughly with water immediately after use.
